Loaves and Fishes Community offers hospitality and advocacy to people experiencing homelessness. We are volunteers and we depend almost entirely on small gifts of cash and goods to continue our work. Again, we humbly ask for your help to keep this project going. Donations are accepted almost every day 9am-9pm at 1614 or 1712 Jefferson St, Duluth. If you have questions, call 218-724-2054.
Ongoing material needs
Coffee, sugar and creamer
Butter, margarine and vegetable oil
Canned tomato products (sauce or diced, large cans preferred)
Healthy breakfast cereal and milk
Cheese and eggs
Toilet paper (regular and jumbo commercial rolls)
Laundry detergent (He and powder, large containers preferred)
Razors, shampoo and deodorant
Tampons and pads
New socks (cotton and thermal, adult sizes) and anti fungal foot cream
Ibuprofen
Postage stamps (letter- and postcard-rate)

Special requests
Area rugs, size 4’x6’ or larger, clean and in good shape (for guest rooms)
Gift cards for area gas stations ($20 preferred, to aid people sleeping in their cars or needing transportation to work)
Storage totes with lids (10 gallon or larger)
Men’s winter boots (sizes 9-14)
Large colander
50- or 100-foot extension cord
Volunteer needs (please call for more information)
Individuals or groups to prepare and deliver a dinner meal to one of the houses on a regular basis (we feed 12-15 people per house per night, many volunteers commit to a monthly meal)
Electrician to assist with wiring new lights in the Hannah House basement
Bicycle mechanics to volunteer 1-2 times per month in the Bike Cave over the summer. Shifts are approximately 4 hours.
Hair stylists and barbers to provide haircuts at the houses on an occasional basis
Folks with trucks or trailers who could help people move into new apartments
